Environmental activityTo build awareness in environmental care and conservation, the Company and Miss Jareerat Petsom, Miss Earth Thailand 2021 as well as customer from Turtle Shops jointly participated in %u201cTurtle will be free, let%u2019s join trip to the sea%u201d activity. The event involved releasing baby turtles back to the sea and cleaning the sea turtles pond at the Royal Thai Navy Sea Turtle Conservation Center, the Air and Coastal Defense Command, Chonburi Province on 24 August 2024. This activity aimed to raise awareness of environmental conservation and sustainability and contribute to the restoration of the marine ecosystem.The environmental performance as mentioned above reflects the Company%u2019s commitment to reduce the excessive greenhouse gas emissions, which are the primary cause of global warming and climate change.Apart from aforementioned waste minimization and management processes, the Company has purchased 2,620 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in carbon credits from the Mitr Phol Group%u2019s Bio-Power (Dan Chang) project in 2024/25. This project is certified under the nationally recognized T-VER standard. The carbon offset corresponds to the Company%u2019s Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions for the current year.This initiative marks a significant step in aligning with the sustainability goals of VGI to become Carbon Neutral in 2022/23 and has encouraged its subsidiaries to actively reduce environmental impacts.
